What's Happening at Galileo
BULLDOG BULLETIN
UPDATED WEEKLY
A distinguishing feature of Galileo is the Garden with its greenhouse.
Galileo employs a full-time master gardener to care for the garden and to help students and teachers access the garden.
The garden has been used in science classes, art classes, as well as gardening club. The food produced in our garden is used in our cafeteria as well as in other D11 cafeterias and is sold at local markets.
Galileo has become a school-wide AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) school.
AVID is a nationally recognized curriculum which provides all students with the skills needed to be successful in their continuing education as well as in careers.
All teaching staff attend monthly professional development to learn how to implement AVID strategies in their classrooms.
